FriXion is Different From Other Erasable Pens
The technology used in FriXion erasable gel ink pens has been in the making for more than 30 years. Vibrant Autumn leaves inspired a Pilot researcher to capture the same dynamic color change in a test tube. A special formulation that would vividly change color at different temperatures was developed. The unique color-changing technology was initially used to create children's toys. Several years later, another Pilot researcher modified the formulation to create disappearing ink—and FriXion erasable gel ink pens were born!
Note: Erasable pens are not recommended for use on legal or office documents. Do not expose to extreme temperatures (<14 degrees Farenheit or >140 degrees Farenheit). If pen is exposed to temperature that reaches 140 degrees Farenheit, the ink will be colorless when writing. To restore color, cool to at least 14 degrees Farenheit in freezer and the ink will again write in color.
